As a world traveler with a penchant for historic charm, Mayfair Guest House in Edinburgh was a delightful find. the property's location in the charming Broughton district was perfect for exploring nearby attractions like the National Museum of Scotland and Camera Obscura and World of Illusions. the guest house itself exuded old-world elegance, with rooms that featured a shared bathroom and free WiFi - perfect for staying connected while immersing oneself in the surroundings. My room, a cozy triple room, was adorned with a wardrobe, a soft carpeted floor, and heating for those chilly Scottish nights. the attention to detail was evident, from the clean linen and towels to the thoughtful provision of tea and coffee. the guest house's proximity to the University of Edinburgh and the Real Mary King's Close made it an ideal base for exploring the city's rich history. the friendly host's hospitality and willingness to accommodate our late check-in made us feel right at home.
